For Sarah’s senior portrait session, she wanted to incorporate two of her favorite pastimes—playing soccer and playing her ukulele. To do so, we met at her school in Cary and shot a few traditional portraits in front of the beautiful buildings and a few more on the soccer field nearby. Then we moved to the incredible Umstead Hotel where we strolled along the path near the pond, took a few more portraits, and even got our own little ukulele show from her! She’s quite talented! For Matthew’s senior portrait session, we actually had a split session due to a yearbook deadline and an injury he experienced playing baseball. For the first session, we met at my studio and had a great time even though we had to try to hide one of his arms because of the injury. For the second session, we met at a park a few months later, and those images turned out great too, especially since all of the leaves were starting to change! Not to mention, everyone appreciated having the senior portrait session when the weather was a little cooler! Check out the images from his senior portrait session below!

For his senior portrait session, Zack wanted to show his love for baseball. To do so, he chose to have his senior portrait session at the school and baseball field where he spent so much of his time in Cary. Zack is an extremely talented athlete, but did great modeling. For senior portrait sessions, I usually suggest that seniors bring along mom or another close family member to help with outfits and to hold the iPad to instantly see the photos I’m taking…. But because his mom was traveling internationally, he decided to rock his senior portrait session on his own, and he did a great job! This senior portrait session was unique because I photographed not one, but two seniors! Instead of having two separate senior portrait sessions, Maggie and Katie chose to share the senior portrait experience as sisters at a beautiful park in Raleigh. They really enjoyed having their senior portrait session together and kept me on my toes photographing one as the other changed in to the next outfit.
